Harvest Festival at The Reg

With events taking place across the city for this weekend’s Harvest Festival, The Reg and The Munster have teamed up to bring some fantastic events to Waterford’s Viking Triangle.

There are many family-friendly events happening for Harvest Festival along with a showcase of some of the region’s best food and food producers.

The Reg are serving Guinness and Oysters beside The Viking Longboat directly beside Reginald’s Tower. The oysters are sourced from one of the largest oyster farms in Europe situated in Woodstown Bay, about 18km from Waterford City centre, along our beautiful coastline in Co Waterford.

Metalman Brewing, a craft beer brewery located here in Waterford city centre, are bringing their bar to Bailey’s New Street for Harvest Festival. Lots of their locally brewed craft beers will be on offer including Blagger which is made from real Blaa’s that are bought from Walsh’s Bakehouse.

Metalman Bar is teamed with the return of Churchyard Sessions. Churchyard Sessions have been such a huge highlight in the city throughout the summer months with some big acts such as Duke Special, The Ships and Paddy Casey gracing the city with their musical abilities. Churchyard Sessions are open-air, free concerts in the shadow of the 15th century French Church on Baileys New St in the heart of Waterford’s Viking Triangle. The Reg and The Munster have teamed up to bring Churchyard Sessions back for Saturday and Sunday of Harvest Festival. Some of the confirmed acts include Third Wheel and The Unusual Suspects. Bands will kick off from 5pm Saturday and 3pm on Sunday. As always, there will be a BBQ on all afternoon and evening on both days.

Waterford Harvest Festival is celebrating 10 years of fantastic food in the city centre. To find out more about Waterford Harvest Festival at The Reg and The Munster visit facebook.ie/churchyardsessions or www.thereg.ie/harvestfest .
